Garth Thomas loved Huntsville. It’s a statement that rang true around his oldest and newest friends at his celebration of life ceremony. Yesterday, the Huntsville Royal Canadian Legion was packed with old memories of a man that graced our airwaves for 50 years, was an active community member and all around nice guy. They fought, they laughed and had a ‘schwa’ of good time. That’s how Larry Tearun, better known as Fife, remembers the late Garth Thomas. Fife tells us what it was like working with Garth on the “Fife and Shotz Show” back at Ryerson.

Garth started working for FM105.5 back in 1958. He died in his sleep last Thursday at Hospice Huntsville. He was 77-years old.
