The Town of Bracebridge says securities are secure in regards to the bankruptcy affecting the Waterways of Muskoka condo complex. CAO John Sisson also says Bracebridge's building department has been in contact with the bankruptcy trustee. It's hoped a plan will ensure that unfinished roofs will be completed and that unfinished buildings will be closed-in for the winter, so as to protect the assets. Regarding services at the location, Councillor Mark Quemby is relieved to hear residents already living there won't be buried in snow this winter and will be able to get in and out of the location. Councillors heard the ultimate goal is to transfer the property to a new developer who can get the project finished. Waterways is located at the intersection of Highway 118 East and Santa's Village Road on the Muskoka River.
