Ladies Fastball First Season Game Results

Coon Brothers Sand and Gravel had a great start to their fastball season. Last night they took on Campbell’s at Muskoka Bay and beat them in five innings 38-3. Elsewhere, Cary’s Irish Pub/Wayne’s Tire lost to Bracebridge Repair 24-3, Muskoka Music Source beat Paul Davis Systems 18-0 and Golden Enterprise lost to Bracebridge Timber Mart.

HHS Students Looking to Collect Soccer Jerseys

As the upcoming outdoor soccer season approaches, one Huntsville High student wants your old jerseys. Seventeen-year-old Raylan Jamison has partnered with the Huntsville Soccer Club (HSC) to collect jerseys and donate to Canadian Food for Children. The organization sends food and other donations to over 20 developing countries.

The HSC says they are collecting the jerseys when the season wraps up. You can donate  jerseys from any season. There will be bins at the McCulley South Fields every Thursday evening in August and at the awards table on Soccer Day. You can also arrange for alternate drop off times.

Huntsville Sting Peewee Looking for Players

If your daughter is nine to 13-years-old and wants to play hockey, they have a shot at joining the Huntsville Sting. A Shocking Game 7 for Toronto Maple Leaf Fans

Local Leaf fans had their hopes shattered, as the Boston Bruins came back from a three-goal deficit to tie game 7 with 51 seconds left in regulation and then beat Toronto in overtime 5-4. Fans at On the Docks Pub in Huntsville watched in shocked silence when Patrice Bergeron scored the game-winner. This is what they had to say about the game.

Meantime, the New York Rangers advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals as they beat Washington 5-0 in Game 7.

Local Mixed Martial Artist Goes 3-0

A local Mixed Martial Artist is now 3-0. Muskoka`s Kyle, `The Monster` Nelson won his latest match Friday night in Montreal. He won in the second round with a vicious liver shot that led to a TKO.

Dokan Karate Brings Home Winners in Barrie Tournament

Huntsville’s Dokan Karate brought home some top honours from a weekend tournament in Barrie. Ten kids competed in the event. Winners include Carson, who took 1st place for his Nun Chuck Demonstration. Byron took 1st place in Sparring and Cameron got 3rd in Sparring.
